ICE stands for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which is a federal law enforcement agency founded to enforce our nation’s immigration laws. Not only is ICE responsible for policing illegal immigration, but also, along with Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), policing customs violations, such as the smuggling of arms, illicit drugs, or illegal contraband into our country. Obviously, the mission of ICE is vital to our national security, which is impossible without border security, which is impossible without the enforcement of our immigration laws, which is impossible without ICE.

ICE was created, following the 9/11 terrorist attack upon our nation, by the Homeland Security Act of 2002, which was passed by Congress with 91% support, which included 41 Democrats in the United States Senate and 130 Democrats in the House of Representatives. The Homeland Security Act actually created ICE by merging the investigative and interior enforcement elements of the former U.S. Customs Service and Immigration and Naturalization Service. When it comes to the U.S. Customs Service it dates all the way back to July 31, 1789, when it was created by the First Congress. When it comes to the Immigration and Naturalization Service, it was created by an executive order on June 10, 1933, by none other than Democrats’ most pedestaled past president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who issued the executive order to better control border security and to restrict “undesirable” immigrants from flooding into our country.

Ever since its inception, ICE has apprehended, arrested, and deported illegal immigrants from our country with nothing more than detainers, simple requests for federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to detain criminal illegal immigrants for up to 48 hours, so that ICE can assume custody of them and deport them. Unbeknownst to most Americans, ICE detainers reached record numbers during the Obama presidency, peaking at 309,697 in 2011 alone. In fact, the Obama Administration reported over 3.1 million total deportations during his 8 years in the Oval Office.

Today’s ICE agents carry out their official duties under the umbrella of more more than 400 federal statues. Furthermore, the U.S. Constitution not only provides authority for border security through Article I, Section 8, but also requires the federal government to protect states from invasion in Article IV, Section 4. In light of these duties assigned to our federal government by our Constitution, our courts have ruled, despite the Fourth Amendment’s protection against unreasonable searches, that there is a “border search exception,” which permits warrantees searches at our borders, as well as within 100-miles of them.  

In abject disregard of all of the above, today’s Democrats are not only threatening to shutdown our federal government, unless ICE is hamstrung, defunded, or downright abolished, but they are also advocating a plethora of other preposterous absurdities, such as the following. 

1. ICE is not a law enforcement agency lawfully enforcing our immigration laws, but a Nazi-like Gestapo kidnapping and killing innocent American citizens. 

2. Illegal immigration is not a crime nor are illegal immigrants criminals, but merely undocumented aliens legally residing in our country with all the constitutional rights of an American citizen.

3. ICE must go through the long and laborious process to obtain a criminal arrest warrant to detain each one of the 20 million illegal immigrants who flooded into our country during the four years of the Biden Administration, which includes hundreds of illegal aliens who are known to be on our country’s terrorist watchlist.

4. ICE must also obtain an arrest warrant for each one of the 2 million got-aways who snuck into our country while we were all under the governance of Joe Biden’s autopen, in spite of the fact that we don’t know their identities, their whereabouts, or their reasons for having snuck into our country in the first place. 

5. In Democrat-run sanctuary states and cities, state and local governments, along with their law enforcement agencies, don’t have to honor ICE detainers on criminal illegal immigrants. In fact, they can shield criminal illegal immigrants from ICE agents, by releasing them from jail and returning them to the streets, in spite of the obvious threat this poses to public safety.

6. In Democrat-run sanctuary states and cities, the public is not only free to alert criminal illegal immigrants of ICE operations, but also free to interfere with ICE operations, even to the point of impeding ICE agents in the performance of their official duties. Though the latter is a clear crime, those who clearly perpetrate it are protected from prosecution under the ruse of their First Amendment right to protest.

Now, in conclusion, permit me to connect all of the dots to the above Democrat absurdities to Democrats’ absurd diatribe against the SAVE Act. This legislation, which simply requires proof of citizenship to register to vote, and voter ID to cast a ballot, is supported by the vast majority of American citizens as a commonsense safeguard to the integrity of our future elections. However, Democrats oppose it with a vengeance, villainizing it as “Jim Crow 2.0.” Why? What sane reason is there to oppose commonsense safeguards to our elections, apart from wanting our elections to be susceptible to fraud rather than safeguarded from it?

Consider the following questions carefully, especially in light of the mass exoduses from disastrously governed Democrat-run states, like California and New York, which are costing them congressional seats and Electoral College votes. 

1. Why do Democrats vehemently oppose a citizenship question on the U.S. census, which determines the number of each state’s congressional seats and Electoral College votes? Could it be that Democrats want illegal immigrants, who flock to their sanctuary states, to be counted in the U.S. census, so that Democrat states will have more seats in Congress and more votes in our Electoral College?

2. Why do Democrats oppose requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote? Could it be that Democrats want illegal immigrants unlawfully registered to vote in our elections?

3. Why do Democrats oppose requiring all voters to show some form of voter ID? Could it be that Democrats want illegal immigrants to unlawfully vote in our elections?

Make no mistake about it; there is definitely a method to Democrats’ madness. Opening our borders to millions of illegal immigrants and opposing their deportations are the maniacal means to Democrats’ malevolent ends; namely, to seize perpetual political power over our representative republic and to usurp tyrannical control over all of our lives. Although they are peerless in the art of projection—accusing others of what they are guilty of themselves—you should not be duped by Democrats’ damning of others, such as ICE agents, as fascists, since the real fascists are Democrats themselves, who will stop at nothing and stoop to anything to reign as Führers over us, even if it means ruining our republic, in order to rule over its ruins and rumble.
