Seminarian and professed Christian James Talarico, the Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate in Texas, has once again exposed himself as a wolf in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15), by once again exhibiting his talent for twisting the Scriptures to his own destruction (2 Peter 3:16). Talarico’s uncanny ability to twist the Scripture has been publicly demonstrated repeatedly. For instance, consider the following four examples.
1. Talarico, who teaches “God is non-binary,” has twisted the “us” reference to the Trinity in Genesis 1:26 into Biblical proof that those most truly “made in God’s own image” are the transgendered.
2. Talarico has twisted the Virgin Mary’s consent to the annunciation of the birth of Christ into a prooftext for his contention that the Bible is prochoice and defends abortion on demand.
3. Talarico has twisted the bitter water suspected adulteresses were forced to drink under the Mosaic Law into an ancient version of the modern-day abortion pill mifepristone.
4. And Talarico, who embraces universalism and believes in many paths to God, has twisted the Biblical call to repentance from sin and to reconciliation with God into a call from all the “prophetic voices” of the Bible to politically rid the earth of the evils of “whiteness” and “masculinity.”
Adding to his long list of pretzel-like twistings of the sacred text of Scripture into prooftexts for his radical political policies and agenda, Talarico recently twisted Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:31-46 into a tangled up doubled knotted doozy. According to the Scripture twisting Talarico, Jesus taught that to go to Heaven we must support Democrats’ medicare for all; otherwise, we will be cursed by Christ and cast into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels, because of our failure to heal the sick.
The fact that James Talarico even passes for a Christian, much less a theologian or Biblical scholar, speaks volumes about the spiritual deception of these dark days. Yet, the Bible, which Talarico continuously twists into prooftexts for his radical political agenda, warns us about twisters of the Scripture like Talarico. Our own Lord, in His Olivet Discourse, from which Talarico got his prooftext to falsely preach that medicare for all is our ticket to heaven, forewarned us that “many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many” (Matthew 24:11). Furthermore, Scripture not only forebodingly forewarns us that at the end of time men will be swept away in great delusion and blown here and there by the winds of false doctrines, but also that end-time deception will be so great as to even deceive the elect if possible (2 Thessalonians 2:11; Ephesians 4:14; Matthew 24:24).
Now, permit me, before concluding this timely Wilderness Voice, to not only address our Lord’s words in Matthew 25:31-46, but to also show how they too speak volumes to the great spiritual deception of our day and to today’s ever-multiplying spiritual deceivers, like Jame Talarico. To begin with, the Bible clearly teaches us that we are saved by God’s grace through faith in God’s Son and not by our own works (Ephesians 2:8-9). As Christ Himself incontestably taught, faith in Him is the only way to God, to eternal life, and to Heaven (John 6:47; 11:25-26; 14:6). Not only is there only one way to Heaven, to believe in Jesus Christ, but there is also no other name under Heaven whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
In light of the above, how do we explain our Lord’s words in Matthew 25:31-46, which, at first glance, appear to suggest that we are saved by our works; that is, by feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, taking in the stranger, clothing the naked, ministering to the sick, and visiting those in prison? The key to understanding this passage is found in its initial verse, which sets its context at the time of Christ’s Second Coming and the inauguration of His Millennial Reign upon the earth. Therefore, those gathered before Christ throne on this occasion are the survivors of end-time tribulation. Furthermore, the kingdom into which the sheep among them are allowed to enter is the Millennial Kingdom of Christ upon earth, not Heaven.
According to the Bible, the church, which is made up of God’s saints, all who believe in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, as their personal Lord and Savior, will reign with Christ as His co-regents upon the earth for a thousand years (Revelation 20:4, 6). On the other hand, the sheep, who are separated from the goats in Matthew 25, along with one third of the Jewish people, the surviving Jewish remnant upon the earth at Christ’s return, will be the subjects of Christ’s Millennial Kingdom. Notice carefully Christ’s differentiation between the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25. The sheep are those to whom Jesus will say, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me,” while the goats are those to whom Jesus will say, “Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these [my brethren], ye did it not to me.” What separates the sheep from the goats and grants the sheep entrance into Christ’s Millennial Kingdom is that the sheep will help and minister to Christ’s brethren, the Jewish people, in the perilous times of the last days, rather than persecute them, like the rest of an antichrist and antisemitic world.
The Bible plainly predicts that our Christ-rejecting and fallen world is destined to become increasingly antisemitic, as well as increasingly possessed by the spirit of antichrist. Consequently, unprecedented persecution against the people of God, both God’s chosen people—Israel and the Jews—and God’s elect people—the church and Christians—is soon to breakout all over this planet. As a result, and as the ancient Prophet Zechariah predicted, only one third of the Jewish people will survive upon this planet until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ (Zechariah 13:8). However, that surviving remnant, represented by the 144,000 sealed for their protection by the angles in Revelation 7:1-8, will not only turn to Christ as their Messiah at His return (Zechariah 12:10-13:6), but will afterward enter into His Millennial Kingdom, along with the sheep of Matthew 25, as His subjects.
Having untwisted Talarico’s twisting of the Scripture in Matthew 25, permit me now to prove to you how this sinister twister of Scripture is, along with his antisemitic political party, spearheading the Biblically predicted end-time persecution of the Jews. Are you aware of the fact that Hitler’s Holocaust wiped out two-thirds of our world’s Jewish population? Have you ever asked yourself what incited such hatred of the Jewish people, as well as such inhumane treatment of them? It was Nazi propaganda, which falsely accused the Jews of secretly controlling the German government, to the detriment of the German people. Sound familiar? This exact propaganda is now being propagated by Democrats in America. In fact, people on both sides of the political aisle are now propagating this lie, that Jews have usurped secret control over our government to the detriment of our nation.
Far from being a benign twister of Scripture, James Talarico is a malignant threat. He not only imperils others’ immoral souls by preaching medicare for all rather than Jesus as the way to Heaven, but he is also helping to pave the way for this fallen world’s next and final Holocaust, which will once again eradicate two-thirds of this world’s Jewish population. Needless to say, despite Talarico being a proponent of medicare for all, he is still definitely a goat and not a sheep!
