A GLOBAL WARNING ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING

When science becomes dogmatic, it ceases to be science and commences to be religion. When its dogmas are mandated by the state, it has become the official state religion. This explains why Paul Karl Feyerbend opined, “The separation of state and church must be complimented by the separation of state and science, that most recent, most aggressive, and most dogmatic religious institution.” One of our Founding Fathers, Benjamin Rush, fought to have the right of medical freedom, just like that of religious freedom, inserted into our Constitution. According to Rush, leaving the guarantee of medical freedom out of our Constitution would inevitably lead to a day “when medicine [would] organize into an undercover dictatorship.” President Dwight D. Eisenhower, in his famous military-industrial complex speech, warned that public policy could some day “become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.” He went on to add that if science ever acquired such “unwarranted influence,” it would pose a most serious threat to our democratic government.

Unfortunately, in today’s America, state and science are not separate, as Feyerbend called for, but goose-stepping in lockstep over our liberties. In addition, what Rush predicted and Eisenhower warned us about is materializing right under our noses in modern-day America. Science has become an “undercover dictatorship,” which is exercising such “unwarranted influence” over our lives as to imperil our representative republic. Yet, few Americans are aware of the fascism being fostered by the fiat of our federal government to unquestionably follow the science. According to Albert Einstein, one of our nation’s most famous and brilliant scientists, the “unthinking respect for authority,” which our government is now demanding, “is the greatest enemy of truth.”

To help pry open eyes that are presently shut to the dire danger of what is falsely called science, which the Bible warns us not to be deceived by (1 Timothy 6:20), let’s look at the ever-increasing control our government is seizing over our lives through its chief “scientific”contrivance—climate change. As White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, recently asserted, it’s almost like “climate change is taking over every part of our lives.” The truth, however, is that our cunning government is cleverly using this crafty contrivance to take over almost every part of our lives. Make no mistake about it; climate change is all about government control. It’s not about saving the planet, but about subjugating it!

THE ICHTHUS CHURCH

Whether we look at the pervasive ideology of political correctness now permeating America and all of Europe, at the atheistic communism espoused by countries like Russia and China, or at Islamic States, within which the mere profession of Christianity is punishable as a capital offense, it is clear to see the dark clouds of unprecedented and biblically predicted end-time persecution gathering around the world against the church.

Our world is obviously headed into the biblically predicted perilous times of the last days. There is unprecedented persecution on the horizon, persecution against the church that would have been unimaginable in these United States just a few years ago. Regrettably, in the coming dark days of impending and unprecedented persecution, the conventional, traditional, and denominational church will disappear from the American landscape. It will be impossible for it to exist and operate publicly in a culture diametrically opposed to it, not to mention a culture hellbent on stamping out the church by every means at its disposal. The church in America, as well as throughout the world, will be forced underground.

Most evangelicals today either don’t know or just simply refuse to believe that the only way to assure the church’s future survival as a pervasive and permeating force for Christ in the dark days ahead is for us to become far less visible and targetable to a Christ-hating world. Far from assimilating ourselves to today’s politically correct culture, so as to make the church appealing to those within it, the Bible teaches us to separate ourselves from today’s politically correct culture in order to offer those within it a true alternative to it! It is to these two ends—(1) assuring the church’s survival as a pervasive and permeating force for Christ in the dark days ahead, and (2) separating ourselves from the world in order to offer those within it a true alternative to it—that we are inviting all interested parties to partner with us in the planting of a new kind of church that is actually as old as the New Testament. We’re going back to the future, by resurrecting the New Testament blueprint for Christ’s church, along with the Master’s plan for evangelism, both of which enabled the first century church not only to survive, but to thrive under the intense persecution of a Christ-hating world.

THE MIRACLE OF OVERCOMING FAITH

As we enter the Biblically predicted perilous times of the last days, overcoming faith is an absolute imperative for every Christian. However, most contemporary Christians are oblivious to the truth about faith. They mistakenly believe that both saving faith and sanctifying faith can be humanly generated at any time by one's own choosing. The Bible, on the other hand, clearly teaches that the faith by which we are instantly converted and daily consecrated must be given to us by God. It is divinely endowed and cannot be worked up within ourselves nor personally procured. The faith that overcomes the world and enables Christians to live as more than conquerors in Christ within it is truly a most miraculous thing! This little book teaches you about the miracle of overcoming faith, so that you can become a miraculous overcomer.

THE BIBLE: THE BOOK OF BOOKS

At Time For Truth Ministries we celebrated 2017 as “The Year of the Bible.” During the year, we wrote daily devotions on the Bible. These devotions dealt with more than the teachings of the Bible. They also taught about the Bible itself. It is these devotions that have been compiled and edited into this manuscript. It is our sincere hope that this volume will prove informative, as well as inspirational, inspiring within you, the reader, a lifelong appreciation for the Bible, the most incredible book that has ever been written.

FIRST STEPS

This little book covers big subjects! It teaches you how to become a Christian, how to start your Christian life, and how be to be sure you are a Christian. It is a great tool for witnessing to your lost loved ones, friends, and acquaintances. It also addresses and solves one of the most common concerns Christians struggle with--doubting one's salvation. Here, you will learn how to be sure of your salvation and how to rid yourself once and for all of any doubts about it.

THE KING OF HEARTS

This book teaches The Simplicity of Living in the Spirit. It is as simple as following the dictates of your heart; that is, the still, small voice of the indwelling Christ, who is enthroned in your heart as the Lord of your life in the person of the Holy Spirit. Of all the books our founder and director has written, this is his personal favorite, believing it to be critical to the Christian wanting to live the abundant, victorious, Spirit-filled, Christian life!

THE MAJESTY OF CALMNESS

This book contains forty devotions on Psalm 131 and teaches you how to calm your soul in the midst of today's chaotic and confusing world.

PRAYING IN THE HARVEST: HOW TO PRAY FOR THE LOST

This book provides the reader with thirty days of devotions on how to pray for one's lost friends and family members.

THE REAL SINNER'S PRAYER

This book provides the reader with thirty-one daily devotions on Psalm 51—The Real Sinner's Prayer

THE STRUGGLES OF PRAYER

This book provides the serious prayer warrior with twenty-two enlightening and edifying devotions on prayer.

BAPTISM

Although baptism is not necessary for salvation, it is the proof a new convert is commanded by Christ to offer as pubic confirmation of their Christian confession. Many contemporary "Christians" take a nonchalant attitude toward baptism, arguing that since it is not necessary for salvation its observance is optional. However, such a flippant take on this first step commanded by Christ to be taken in our Christian lives is cause for concern over the Christian confession of any unbaptized individual. This book not only teaches the importance of baptism, but addresses heretical teachings concerning it as well, such as baptismal regeneration, infant baptism, and baptism for the dead. If you would like a thorough examination of this important Christian doctrine and Christ commissioned church ordinance, this book is for you.

SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY

This book explains how we recognize real spiritual authority. It explains when we should submit to church leadership, as well as when we shouldn't. It also teaches how every Christian is a minister who should be ministering to others under the the authority of Christ, who alone has all authority in Heaven and on earth.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT WAR

Does the Bible teach pacifism? Was Jesus a pacifist? Should all Christians be conscientious objectors, refusing to serve in our nation’s military and to fight in a war? This little book teaches you what the Bible really says about war?

THE PURSUIT OF HOLINESS

According to the Scripture, holiness is not something we must try to procure, but something we already possess. Having been separated from the world by God and set apart for Christ, you and I are already holy. Our holiness has nothing to do with anything we do, but everything to do with what Christ has done for us. It is not ours because we have earned it from God. Instead, it is ours because of God's gracious election of us. Wheres the pursuit of holiness commences with our commitment to Christ, its lifelong pursuit continues as we daily cultivate a personal relationship with God. Our progress in this most worthy pursuit will be in direct proportion to the amount of time we spend in God's presence. The more time we spend in God's presence, the more prevalent God's power will become in our lives and the more and more apparent our holiness will become to others. To learn more read this important little book on one of the Bible's biggest and most important subjects.
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT TATTOOS

Is it okay for Christians to get tattoos? What does the Bible say about it? Is the Biblical prohibition against it antiquated and no longer applicable? Was it forbidden to the ancient Israelites, but not to today's Christians? Is the church, unlike Israel, free to conform to the fashion of the world? For answers to these questions read our pamphlet To Tattoo or Not to Tattoo: What the Bible Says about tattoos.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Samuel Chadwick once wrote: "The concern of the devil is to keep saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, he mocks at our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray." No form of prayer is more feared by the devil than intercessory prayer. Unfortunately, the art of intercessory prayer is almost a lost art in the contemporary church, which goes a long way in explaining its impotence to impact a world ever-growing increasingly antichrist. Are you a brave heart willing to kneel under the mantle of intercessory prayer and engage the enemy in the most intense prayer warfare?

WHY IT IS SO BAD TO GET TOO MAD

Many people wonder about the words of our Lord in Matthew 5:22, especially about His warning that calling someone a “fool” puts you “in danger of hell fire.” However, our Lord is not really addressing the problem of name-calling in this verse, but the problem of illegitimate anger, especially anger which escalates from causeless, to self-centered to homicidal. Truly, our Lord’s warning about the dangers of escalating anger has never been more needed than it is in today, a day that has been dubbed, “The Age of Rage.”

THE TRUTH ABOUT ISLAM

If you want to know the truth about the world's largest and fastest growing false religion, then, this book is for you. It is an unvarnished presentation of the Religion of the Sword substaniated by Islam's own sacred texts and incontrovertible history. As one book reviewer put it: "Getting at the truth about Islam is difficult. Postmodern culture requires tolerance and political correctness. Prophetic courage is in short supply. You will find the presence of truth, courage and honest grace in Don Walton's book The Truth About Islam. Don will magnify the Lord Jesus Christ while honestly sharing the truth about Islam. I whole-heartily endorse his message and material. He is a courageous, prophetic voice for today!"

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT THE AGE OF THE EARTH

How can a Christian answer the evolutionist's argument for an ancient earth? Has so-called science disproved the young earth contention of the Genesis account of creation, or does the Bible actually disprove today's so-called science, by pulling out from under it the very presumptions that prop it up and by which it is allegedly proven? This little book answers these big questions.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT DINOSAURS

The question of dinosaurs is often posed by unbelievers to bring the Bible into question. For instance, evolutionists use dinosaurs to support their ancient-earth theory and to discredit the Bible’s teaching of a young earth. Are dinosaurs appropriately used as ammunition in attacks against the Scriptures; or are they just one more example of blank cartridges being fired at the Bible by unbelievers? Read this little book to discover the answer to this big question.

THE BIBLE BY THE NUMBERS

There are several numbers in the Bible that have an obvious spiritual significance. These daily devotions delve into the doctrine of digits. Believe it or not, much can be learned by studying the significance of numbers in the Scripture.

ETERNAL SECURITY

To believe in eternal security⏤“once saved, always saved”—is to put oneself at variance with most of modern-day Christendom. The reason being, this biblical belief is often misinterpreted by others as a license to sin. Far from permitting promiscuousness among the saints, however, this biblical doctrine of eternal security actually advocates the perseverance of the saints.

Detractors of the doctrine of eternal security teach that the professed Christian's return to habitual sin results in the loss of his or her salvation. On the other hand, the doctrine of eternal security teaches that a professed Christian who returns to a life of sin is proven to be a Christian pretender rather than a true professor and possessor of Christ. In other words, such a "Christian" cannot possibly lose what he or she never possessed.

All who disagree with the eternal security of the believer advocate a salvation that is made forfeitable by sin. Though it is a popular position, it is made untenable by a number of perplexing problems it presents to its proponents, as well as by its definite deviation from clear Biblical doctrine. This little book will prove to you the impossibility of losing your salvation, as well as the scriptural soundness of "once saved, always saved."

WAS CHRIST CRUCIFIED ON GOOD FRIDAY?

If Christ was crucified on Friday, as is traditionally believed, and rose from the dead on Sunday, as the Scripture clearly teaches, then, how was He, as He Himself predicted, in the tomb “three days and three nights” prior to His resurrection? Is there a Scriptural answer to this seeming Scriptural contradiction? Indeed there is; and it is found in the answer to this question: Was Christ crucified on Good Friday?

THE ARK OF THE COVENANT

The Ark of the Covenant, like everything else in the tabernacle or temple, symbolized Christ. It was meant to: (1) picture Christ (2) point men to Christ, and (3) prepare men for Christ’s coming. The ark’s true spiritual significance is found in its symbolism of our salvation in Christ, a significance that now pales in comparison to the Christian’s possession of the substance (Christ) of which the ark was nothing more than a mere shadow.

THE DISTINGUISHING MARKS OF A HYPOCRITE

The Apostle Paul admonishes us in 2 Corinthians 13:5 to “examine ourselves” to make sure we are “in the faith.” It is possible, according to Paul, to believe we’re redeemed when in actuality we’re “reprobates.” Our Lord warned us that some would be deceived about their salvation even on the day of judgment (Matthew 7:21-23).

Paul’s admonition in 2 Corinthians 13:5 teaches us two tremendous truths. First, we can be sure that we are in the faith. The Bible definitely teaches a “know-so” salvation (1 John 5:13). Second, we can assure ourselves that we are in the faith by honestly examining ourselves. The Bible teaches us that there are several distinguishing marks of a hypocrite. If, in our examination of ourselves, any evidence of hypocrisy is found in our lives, then, our salvation is suspect. It may be specious rather than genuine. On the other hand, if no evidence of hypocrisy is uncovered in our lives, we may rest assured that our salvation is genuine and that we’re no hypocrite.

SHEOL: THE PLACE OF THE DEAD

In John 3:13, the Lord Jesus said, “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven.” If no one had yet “ascended up to heaven” when Jesus was here on earth, then, the question must be asked: “Where did the Old Testament saints go when they died?”

Have you ever wondered where Jesus was during the time between His death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead? In His first post-resurrection appearance, Jesus instructed Mary, “Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father” (John 17:3). If He had not yet ascended to His Father, then where was He during the time His body was entombed?

The answer to these questions, as well as some most precious and profound truths are found in this short study of Sheol, which the Scripture teaches was the place of the dead before Christ rose from the tomb.

SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE

In this book, published in 2013, I put forth the compelling arguments against the legalization of same-sex marriage. At the same time, I predicted the legalization of same-sex marriage was inevitable in these United States, as well as the consequences we would suffer as a result of it. Although the book brought me much scorn, had me blackballed by many churches, and cost me more than a few friends, my predictions have all proven true.

The legalization of same-sex marriage has resulted, as I predicted, in the LGBT community's co-opting and wielding of the coercive power of government in an all-out attempt to silence the church's witness in our land. As I wrote in 2013, I can repeat today with certainty: "Make no mistake about it; America's LGBT community will not rest until we're living in a country where the words of sacred Scripture are considered hate speech, the practice of the Christian faith a hate crime, and all Christians hate mongers."

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT FORGIVENESS

The subject of forgiveness is often oversimplified by well-meaning Christians. What does the Bible really teach about forgiveness? This little book will show you what the Scripture has to say about this very important subject.

THE SABBATH

Why do Christians observe the "Lord's Day" (Saturday) rather than the "Sabbath Day" (Sunday)? Are we in violation of the Fourth Commandment by doing so? Of what was the Sabbath a sign? How has the coming of Christ brought us out of the shadow of the Sabbath and into its substance? And how do we enter into God's promised rest today? The answers to these important questions are found in this little book.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE

Are there scriptural justifiable reasons for divorce? Are Christians divorced for a scripturally justifiable reason free to marry again? Are all divorced Christians disqualified to serve in the church as a pastor, elder or deacon? Is divorce the unpardonable sin, which relegates all divorced Christians to second-class citizenship in the Kingdom of Heaven? What does the Bible say about God's hatred of divorce? How important is the sanctity of marriage, as well as the church's uncompromising stand in its defense? These important questions are answered in this little booklet.

THE FATE OF THOSE WHO'VE NEVER HEARD THE GOSPEL

This little book addresses the often asked question of the eternal fate of those who've never heard the Gospel. In doing so, it stresses the importance of Christian parents passing down their Christian faith to their children and of the church fulfilling Christ's Great Commission in the world today.

HOW TO BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

This little book teaches you what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit, how you can be filled with the Holy Spirit, and how you can know when you are Spirit-filled!

WHERE DID CAIN GET HIS WIFE?

Here's the answer to the atheist's favorite Bible question: Where did Cain get his wife? Instead of a silver bullet shot through the heart of the Scripture by skeptics, this question, like all others posed by Bible-bashers, is easily proven to be nothing more than a blank cartridge.

THE DEVIL: SEPARATING FACT FROM FICTION

Is the devil, as is popularly believed, a formidable foe to God, or just a pawn in God's hand, being used by omnipotence to fulfill divine plans and purposes? This book will not only answer this question about the devil, but also separate other Biblical facts from popularly believed fiction.

THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

Revelation 20:11-15 is the most solemn passage of scripture in all of the Bible. It tells us about the Great White Throne Judgment. It is here, at the Great White Throne that all unbelievers will “stand” to be sentenced to their eternal doom. Just as the condemned are forced to stand in our courts for the pronouncement of their sentence, someday all unbelievers will be forced to stand condemned before the heavenly bar for the pronouncement of their sentence (John 3:18).

THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY

Why does God allow evil and bad things to happen? This question has plagued mankind from time immemorial. Unbeknownst to most men, the answer to this question is found in God’s answer book, the Bible. Although the Bible does not specifically answer why evil befalls or tragedy strikes particular individuals, both the saint and the sinner, it does tell us why God allows evil to happen, as well as how God is using evil to serve His purpose and to ultimately bring Him glory.

WHY CREMATING CHRISTIANS BURNS ME UP

The question of whether or not a Christian should be cremated is a good and often asked question. This little booklet deals with this question and offers a Biblical answer to it.
