Why did God bury the body of Moses in an unknown grave (Deuteronomy 34:1-6)? Furthermore, why did the devil dispute with the Archangel Michael over the body of Moses (Jude 1:9)? At the same time, public debate, government transparency, and the questioning of authority are all squelched, under the guise that they imperil the future of our representative republic. Long forgotten in today’s America are the words of Albert Einstein, who warned us that “unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth.” Truly, we’ve become an unthinking, gullible, and ignorant people, willing to believe whatever we are told, without bothering to substantiate it for ourselves.
