On Monday, President Trump suggested that Pope Leo XIV host Ukrainian and Russian peace talks at the Vatican. According to Vice President J. D. Vance, a Roman Catholic, who had a private audience with the new Pope at his inaugural Mass, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, another Roman Catholic, both the Pope and the Vatican are very interested in taking part and playing a role in ending the bloodiest war in Europe since World War II. This seeming tidbit of news caused every red flag of mine to wave, every red light of mine to flash, and every siren of mine to sound. Permit me to explain why.

I firmly believe, based on what I’ve learned from both the Holy Scripture and the Holy Spirit, that America is the book of Revelation’s “MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” We are not only the world’s final national superpower, but also the greatest and most powerful our world has ever seen. However, according to Revelation, we are doomed to destruction, so that from our ruins can arise the beastly one world government of the end-time. Although we are not yet reduced to rumble, our ruin, unbeknownst to almost all Americans, has already taken place. It happened on 9/11, when, as predicted in the book of Revelation, the whole world watched us go up in smoke in one hour’s time. 

While we’ve continued to exist as a country since that infamous day, we ceased to exist on that day as our former self. The land of the free and the home of the brave definitely went up in smoke on 9/11, thanks to the fact that we became so frightened on that day that we began surrendering our liberties to our government in exchange for its promises of our security. Ever since then, as has been repeatedly proven, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve voluntarily surrendered our constitutional rights and freedoms to Big Brother, who in turn has promised to be our Savior and save us, from a plethora of existential threats, such as terrorism, viruses, and climate change, as long as we will bow to him and obey him as our Lord. Far from being the Christian nation we used to be, we now live in a country whose government has usurped the place of Christ and whose populace, for the most part, bows to government rather than to God as its Lord and Savior. 

The big question that remains to be answered is how will America be reduced to rumble, so that the Biblically predicted and beastly one world power of the end-time can arise from our ruins. I’ve been seriously pondering and praying over this for some time, and, at the present-time, can see only a pair of probabilities from all of the possible possibilities. 

First, and as it appeared most likely during the Biden Presidency, Democrats could reduce us to rumble by a thousand cuts. As many rightly observed during the nightmare of the past four years, Democrats appeared to be hellbent on destroying America. The frightening truth is; they were! Democrats actually believe that America, the world’s only remaining superpower, is also the only remaining obstacle to their long dreamed of socialist utopia, which will usher in a paradisiacal planet, under a one world government and new world order. Therefore, reducing our representative republic to rumble is the motive to their madness. They literally intend to reduce us to ruins, in order to remove us from the way, so that they, along with all of their globalist and new world order cohorts, can usher in what they believe will be heaven on earth, but what the Bible warns us will be the worst hell on earth this fallen world has ever known.

The second probability from all of the possible possibilities will probably prove to be much harder for you to swallow. I’m afraid that we may soon witness the repeat of some of the darkest pages in all of human history. Following World War I, Germany was reduced to ruins, not so much because of the war, but because of the Treaty of Versailles and Germany’s own liberal Weimar government. World War I was not lost on the battlefield by the German army, but ended when Germany’s Weimar government inexplicably surrendered to the Allied Powers. Adding insult to injury, the Weimar government also acquiesced to the Allied Powers and accepted the insufferable terms of the Treaty of Versailles, which doomed Germany to financial destitution. On top of all of this, the Weimar government’s ruinous liberal policies, along with the Stock Market Crash of 1929, brought all of Germany to its knees. This former prosperous world power suddenly found itself reduced to pauperdom.  

The outrage of the German people over the seeming betrayal of their country by their own government, as well as their government’s ruinous liberal policies, spawned a populist movement. The movement’s leader, a former corporal in the German army, promised that he would “clean up the swamp” in Berlin and “Make Germany Great Again!” Of course, the populist movement was National Socialism or Nazism and its leader Adolf Hitler. With both the popularity of the Nazi Party and Adolf Hitler, as well as the unpopularity of the Weimar government, which was headed in the end by an elderly and cognitively impaired president, Paul von Hindenburg, growing expeditiously, the German people elected Adolf Hitler as their Führer and endowed him with dictatorial powers, which they believed were essential for him to possess if he was to stamp out the scourge of liberalism and succeed at making Germany great again.

What followed was truly extraordinary. Hitler succeeded in raising Germany from its ruins to the heights of prosperity and power. As a result of his phenomenal success he was inspired, along with his Nazi Party, to expand their “Third Reich” to the ends of the earth. Obsessed with extending his rule and “thousand-year” reign over the whole world, Adolf Hitler plunged the world into World War II, which resulted in an estimated 70 to 85 million deaths, including 6 million Jews killed in Hitler’s Holocaust.

The similarities and parallels from this little lesson in history with events transpiring in today’s America are unmistakable and foreboding. Our President, Donald Trump, has promised to “clean up the swamp” and to “Make America Great Again.” His unprecedented and phenomenal political comeback and reelection to the White House has been precipitated not only by the ruinous presidency of his predecessor, a cognitively impaired octogenarian, but also by his predecessor’s political party’s radical and ruinous liberal policies. Outraged over the seeming betrayal of our country by our own government, the American people have returned Donald Trump to the White House with a mandate to clean up the swamp in Washington D. C., stamp out the scourge of liberalism in our land, and Make America Great Again.

President Trump is not only promising to create a “Golden Age” for America, but hinting at extending it to the ends of the earth. Consequently, he is not only projecting himself as our problem solver, but as the world’s consummate deal-maker and peace-maker. If you add to this Trump’s renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, his suggestion that Canada be incorporated into our country as our 51st state, that we acquire Greenland as part of America, and that we takeover the Gaza Strip and turn it into a popular and luxurious resort, it becomes easy to see that Trump has worldwide aspirations. He not only sees himself as the President of the United States, but also as the leader of the world. He not only believes he can usher in a “Golden Age” for America, but that he can expand it worldwide to every nation on earth. 

Could it be that an American president could rise to lead the whole end-time world by persuading it that he can usher in a Golden Age of peace and prosperity all over our planet? If so, would he not need the cooperation of the world’s religions to pull off so ambitious an aspiration? Just as all nations would have to be brought together under his governance, so also would all religions have to be brought together under the governance of a religious leader, like a pope.

The book of Revelation predicts that the end-time world will be governed by a beastly one world power, which will be headed by the first beast of Revelation 13, a political leader, and the second beast of Revelation 13, a religious leader. I’ve longed believed that the second beast of Revelation 13, the coming false prophet, will be a pope of the Roman Catholic Church, who will gather under the umbrella of Roman Catholicism all of the false religions and cults of the world. I’ve also longed believed that the first beast of Revelation 13, the end-time world ruler, will be an American president, who will rise either by default or design to lead the end-time world in all-out-war on the people of God, both His chosen people—Israel and the Jews—and His elect people—the church and Christians. With our world becoming more and more antisemitic and antichrist, and with an American president joining hands with a Catholic pope to prove himself the world’s consummate peace-maker, is there any wonder that all of my red flags are waving, red lights are flashing, and sirens are sounding? Shouldn’t yours be too?
