Monday night, at the National Religious Broadcasters International Christian Media Convention in Orlando, Rev. Franklin Graham warned all attendees, "There's a storm coming, and we've got to be prepared." Graham went on to say that "every demon from hell" has been "turned loose" on our society, which he claimed to be proven by how "quickly" our "world has deteriorated." I give a hearty "Amen" to Graham's words, since I've been shouting the same thing from the housetop for years, though in my case, without much attention.

The Bible clearly predicts an end-time demonic invasion of our fallen world. The ancient prophet Joel predicted an invasion of literal locusts upon an unrepentant Judah (Joel 1:1-12). However, he went on to warn that this was just a foreshadowing of a far greater judgment to come if Judah continued to be unrepentant (Joel 1:14-15). In chapter two of his prophecy, Joel speaks symbolically of another plague of locusts, which unquestionably symbolizes an invading enemy army (Joel 2:1-11). This prediction of far greater judgment upon a stiff-necked and unrepentant Judah, at the hands of enemy armies rather than locusts, on the coming "day of the Lord" (Joel 2:12-17), was initially and partially fulfilled by the invasion of the Assyrian army in 722 BC and finally and fully fulfilled by the invading Babylonians in 587 BC.

Although one would think that Joel's prophecy had definitely run its course with its initial fulfillment of a literal plague of locusts, its partial fulfillment by an invading Assyrian army, and its final fulfillment by the invading Babylonians, who conquered Judah, destroyed Jerusalem, and burned its temple to the ground, Scripture signals that there yet remains a further future fulfillment of Joel's prophecy in the final "day of the Lord"God's ultimate judgment of this unrepentant, Christ-rejecting, and fallen world.

According to Revelation 9:1-11, a passage containing glaring similarities to Joel's ancient prophecy, which are anything but coincidental, the consummate fulfillment of Joel's prophecy will not be an army of locusts, Assyrians, or Babylonians upon an unrepentant Judah. Instead, it will be an unprecedented end-time demonic invasion upon an unrepentant world. This invasion, as I've been proclaiming for sometime, and Franklin Graham proclaimed this past Monday night, is on. There is simply no other explanation for our nation and world's quick decent into the depths of depravity than demonization. Furthermore, as our nation and world become increasing possessed with the Biblically predicted spirit if antichrist, these last days, in which we now find ourselves, will become increasingly perilous for all who profess Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior (2 Timothy 3:1), All of this necessitates that we prepare ourselves now for the unprecedented persecution to come, lest the dark and evil days just ahead overtake us unawares!
