For all of you patriotic pipe dreamers out there, who believe America is turning up red, white, and blue roses, I've got some bad news for you. Our country is teeter-tottering on the brink of tyranny. Although it's a deep dark cavern to crawl down into, the mind of present-day progressives, as publicly displayed in recent days, shows their thinking to be identical to that of all tyrants of all time.

First, as Hawaiian Senator Mazie Hirono publicly confessed this week, Democrats privately agree that the reason the American public refuses to submit to them—our intellectual superiors, who know what is best for us—is because your average American is too imbecilic to understand the brilliance of liberal elitists, like Senator Hirono. Now, while you may dismiss this as nothing more than a public insult to your intelligence by private scheming liberal elitists, let me assure you that there is something far more sinister to it than just a smackdown of your smarts. All tyranny is birthed in this incubator, in which elitists become convinced that they must coerce ignorant people into conformity to their ideology for the good of all society. It is this padding of their conscience that enables them to unconscionably perpetrate unconscionable evils against all nonconformists; after all, they're doing it for the good of all mankind.

Second, the head of the DNC, Tom Perez, preached this week to his fellow-progressives that the church pulpit is primarily responsible for souring voters against their radical socialist agenda. Although I don't agree, being personally convinced that most ministers manning church pulpits in American today are totally unwilling to address the critical issues currently confronting our country, for fear it will cost them warm bodies in their pews and big bucks in their offering plates, the putting of church pulpits in the crosshairs of present-day progressives is a portent most foreboding. As any student of history knows, the silencing of the church is always essential to the subjugation of any people by socialist despots.

Before you pat me on the head and toss some peanuts at me, dismissing me as a deranged doomsdayer, consider the fact that Mr. Perez is only echoing what has been previously preached by far more prominent progressives. For instance, in his much ballyhooed speech on religion, way back in 2006, Barack Obama daringly declared: “Democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values... it requires that their proposals be subject to argument and amenable to reason." In other words, Mr. Obama believes that the only kind of religion that should be allowed in our country is one that is offensive to no other religion, amenable to all other religions, without personal convictions or sound doctrines, and whose tenets are based on human reason rather than divine revelation. Obviously, this opinion of our former president, if ever implemented in our law, would outlaw the Christian faith in our land.

During her presidential campaign in 2016, Hillary Clinton boldly denounced both religious freedom and individual rights by publicly proclaiming that "deep-seated religious beliefs," such as opposition to abortion, "have to be changed." She then added, "We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society." Such radical socialist rhetoric is reminiscent of Adolf Hitler, who once said, "Society's needs come before the individual's needs." If America's present-day progressives get their way, we'll all soon be goose-stepping behind them in their revolutionary parade with our hands held high in a "Sieg Heil" salute to them, as our benevolent and brilliant "Fuhrers."
