While there is no shortage of stupidity in Washington D.C., there is no subject where the stupidity of modern-day politicians is more clearly seen than the subject of religion. Although they often speak of religion, especially when it is politically expedient for them to do so, what they say about religion always proves that they don't know anything about what they're talking about. Take for example the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the greatest love story ever told―"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Our present-day politicians portray this greatest love story ever told as hate-speech. Furthermore, they contend that all who preach it are hate-mongers inciting hate crimes for daring to suggest that sinners need to repent of their sins and turn to Christ for their salvation. Just as our present-day politicians portray Christianity as the opposite of what it really is―hate instead of love―they also portray Islam, the Religion of the Sword, as the opposite of what it really is―peace instead of war. 

A cursory reading of the Koran and a basic understanding of Islam will lead one to the inevitable conclusion that the Muslim faith is militant. The word "Islam" means "submission" or "surrender." The word "Muslim" means "submitted" or "surrendered ones." Originally, the word "Islam" was a military term used by primitive Arabs long before the birth of Mohammed. In its initial usage it meant "defiance of death" or "heroism in battle." 

According to Islam, the whole world is divided into two households: "Dar al-Islam" and "Dar al-Harb." The first of the two, "Dar al-Islam," is "the house of Islam." It is made up of the world's Muslims. The second household, "Dar al-Harb," is "the house of war." It is made up of the world's non-Muslim population, with whom Muslims are at war until the whole world is brought under Islamic control. This war, fought by Muslims to bring the rest of the world to its knees before Allah, the god of Islam, is called "Jihad" of "Holy War." While it is true that many moderate Muslims, especially in the West, insist that Jihad is merely an internal struggle against sinful desires, such an assertion flies in the face of the teachings of Mohammed and the Koran, as well as in the face of Islamic history and the perpetration of terrorism today throughout the world by Islamists. 

The Prophet Mohammed actually taught that his mission in life was jihad. He said, "I was commanded by God to fight with people until they say, 'There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet.' " Furthermore, he taught Muslims that the greatest service they could render to Allah was jihad. According to Mohammed, "The sword is the key of heaven and hell; a drop of blood shed in the cause of Allah, a night spent in arms, is of more avail than two months of fasting and prayer: whosoever falls in battle, his sins are forgiven, and at the day of judgment his limbs, shall be supplied by the wings of angels and cherubim." 

Now, our senate may consider it un-American to forbid Muslim immigrants entry into our country. However, this political posturing in these politically correct times is based upon our senate's ignorance of the Religion of the Sword, a religion that teaches its adherents to overthrow our government, subject our populace to Islamic control, and to force all of us to our knees before Allah, the god of Islam. I don't know about you, but it sounds to me like our senate is willing to shut its eyes to the threat of Islam for the sake of political correctness, just like our FBI did to the threat of Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan prior to the Fort Hood shooting and neighbors did to the threat of Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik prior to the San Bernardino shooting. The only difference will be that by shutting its eyes to the threat of Islam our senate will be allowing on a national scale what the FBI and Farook's neighbors allowed in two isolated incidents. Instead of 13 fatalities, like at Fort Hood, or 14, like in San Bernardino, there may by tens of thousands all across America in the days ahead. Of course, in spite of the blood of innocent Americans on their hands, our senators will be able to continue to claim that they are neither un-American nor intolerant of Islamists. Won't that be a comfort to us all? After all, we no longer want a government committed to our protection, but a government committed to political correctness, even if it kills us.
