Here's a perfect example of the kind of deception today's Americans, including American evangelicals, are prone to. We are continually being duped by demands that we hold to previous propositions no longer tenable in today's America. For instance, the press in yesterday's America was the watchdog of the people. It reported facts and kept our elected representatives accountable. Today, however, the press is for the most part propaganda, designed to advance the liberal ideology of the vast majority of modern-day journalists.
