Well, despite electing Annise Parker—a lesbian who has repeatedly subpoenaed pastors' sermons in hopes of prosecuting them for being biblically correct rather than politically correct—to three consecutive terms as their mayor, Houston voters went to the polls yesterday and rejected Mayor Parker's attempt to turn women's public restrooms into privies for Peeping Toms and sexual predators. If the mayor had got her way, all a man would have had to do to use women's public restrooms in Houston was to claim, despite the obvious evidence to the contrary, that he was no longer a "Steve" but an "Eve." Of course, now that the voters have overwhelmingly struck down this preposterously preposed ordinance to protect the "constitutional" rights of the transgendered to relieve themselves in the restroom of their choosing, we'll wait for the inevitable to happen. Before long some lone and looney judge will undoubtedly flush down the toilet the voices and votes of the people by ruling that their prohibiting of certain public commodes to the transgendered is unconstitutional. As we all know, latrine liberty for some guy named Bert in a skirt was one of the main things on the minds of our Founding Fathers when they gathered in Independence Hall. In my humble opinion, if you're not convinced by all of this that our country is flushed down the toilet, you never will be. To me, the swirling sound of our downward spiritual spiral is deafening and the stench from our moral decay is insufferable.
