Aaron and Melissa Klein are Christians who own and operate a bakery in Gresham, Oregon. After refusing to bake a “wedding” cake for a lesbian couple, Oregon’s Attorney General launched a criminal investigation against the Kleins. The investigation resulted in them being fined $150,000.00 for breaking the state’s non-discrimination laws. Since then, the Kleins have been forced by public harassment to shut the doors of their bakery and move the operation of their business to their home. If their appeal to overturn their criminal conviction for standing by their Christian convictions fails, the Kleins will be forced into bankruptcy. According to Aaron Klein, “It’s horrible to see your own government doing this to you.”

It’s high time Christians in America woke up! This is the country we’re now living in. It is no longer the country we’ve loved and were loyal to; indeed, it does’t even resemble it. Our present-day politicians are doing nothing to prevent this kind of discrimination against us or to protect our right to freedom of religion. It makes no difference which side of the political aisle they sit on, they sit on their hands and refuse to wave them until they feel it is politically expedient for them to do so.

As horrible as it is to see what our government is doing to Aaron and Melissa Klein, I’m afraid we haven’t seen nothing yet. What is happening to the Kleins will pale in comparison to the horrors Christians will suffer at the hands of a godless government in the dark days ahead. Are you ready for what is coming?
