According to a report entitled “Changing American Congregations,” almost half of today’s churches are now allowing openly gay or lesbian couples to become full-fledged members. In addition, more than a fourth of America’s  congregations have no problem with gays and lesbians serving in positions of church leadership. At the same time, acceptance of homosexuality and same-sex marriage has grown to 62% of America’s present-day population. This certainly doesn’t bode well for the future of our country, especially in light of world history and the teachings of the Bible. 

The Bible clearly teaches that the acceptance and advocacy of homosexuality is a sure sign of spiritual reprobation (Romans 1:18-32). It is proof that one has not only passed a point of no return with God, but has also been given over by God to a reprobate mind. History serves as a verification of this sure Scriptural truth, since every nation in history that has ever sanctioned homosexuality proved to be short-lived afterward. How much longer will America survive?
