In my book, Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace: The Compelling Arguments Against Same-Sex Marriage, I teach how two modern-day sins are distinguished from all others by their militancy. As a result, these two sins are particularly threatening to the fabric of American society and peerless in their imperiling of the church's freedom to preach the Gospel, since their present-day practitioners are militantly advocating them in order to coerce their countrymen and to silence their critics. These two sins are homosexuality and the so-called "new atheism." When it comes to homosexuality, gays and lesbians are on the march in today's America to transform our country into an amoral society within which the witness of the church is silenced as discriminatory. When it comes to the new atheists, they are on the march in today's America to profane our society by removing from it any semblance of the sacred, which will inevitably lead to the church being prohibited from showing its face in the public square.

In light of the above, consider the fact that the city of Madison, Wisconsin―a politically correct island that has been fittingly described as "77 square miles surrounded by reality"―has passed the first anti-discrimination law in American history that bans discrimination against atheists. I find it most ironic, in view of the Bible's teaching that it takes a real fool to say that there is no God (Psalm 14:1; 53:1), that Madison's new law was passed on April 1, this year's April Fool's Day.

The continuous passing of laws to protect the militant and mounting antichrist forces in our country is proof positive of how antichrist our country is becoming. Still, Christians in the arena of today's America see little, if any, danger in the number of laws being passed to protect the increasing number of "lions" filing into our country's coliseum. If you believe Madison's delusional City Council, then, you'll see America's "lions" as an endangered species, not Christians in a city like Madison, the proud home of our nation's Freedom from Religion Foundation.
