If the lunatic who killed three people at a Planned Parenthood facility in Colorado Springs last week had entered the facility shouting “Allah Akbar,” our liberal media would be going to great lengths to distance the shooter from Islam. Liberals would insist that no one mistake this lunatic as a fitting representative of such a “peace loving” religion. They would assure us that Muslims are nothing like him, but are all virtuous people who would never dream of committing such a villainous act. The last thing we need, liberals would contend, is a public backlash against Muslim Americans over some lunatic’s lone act of random violence.
Interestingly, despite the fact that the Colorado Springs shooter was neither a church goer nor pro-life activist, our liberal media has no qualms portraying him as a fitting representative of all pro-life Christians. Far from being concerned about creating a public backlash against Christian Americans, liberals appear ever-ready to incite one.
Liberals would never associate a public shooting with Islam, even if it was perpetrated at a Jewish synagogue by a Muslim imam carrying a Koran and crying “Allah Akbar.” On the other hand, liberals immediately associated the Colorado Springs shooting at a Planned Parenthood facility with Christianity, even though it was perpetrated by a non-Christian recluse living in a shack without running water or electricity.
Two lessons should be learned from such blatant liberal bias. To begin with, it is the Christian Faith that liberals fear. They rightly understand that true followers of Jesus Christ, who claimed to be the absolute truth (John 14:6), cannot be coerced into denying absolute truth. Therefore, Christians must be eliminated from a politically correct society if liberals are ever to realize their envisioned socialist utopia. This explains why the liberal media has declared open season on Christians, a group they hope will soon become an endangered species.
Second, and most telling, liberal bias is proven bogus by its own practice. For instance, what would happen if our liberal media portrayed the Colorado Springs shooter as a fitting representative of Islam rather than Christianity? Would Islamists not issue fatwas against our liberal media? As we learned from the attack on Charlie Hebdo, a French newspaper, members of the liberal media can ill-afford to offend Muslims, lest they incite terrorist attacks against themselves and their employers.
To associate Islam with terrorist attacks by Islamists is something our liberal media refuses to do, even when the evidence justifying such reporting is overwhelming. To associate a public shooting at a Planned Parenthood facility with Christianity, however, is something our liberal media will do in an instant, in spite of the fact there is not a single shred of evidence to justify such reporting. Think about it; is this blatant bias on the part of our liberal media not proof that it doesn’t believe its own reporting?
If liberals really believed Christians were violent people capable of committing mass murder anytime they are offended, wouldn’t you expect them to be a little more careful in their offensive and outlandish misrepresentations of the Christian Faith. The truth is; liberals know that they need not fear acts of violence perpetrated against them by offended Christians. All they have to fear from us is our prayers, not out fatwas. Consequently, they insult us with immunity, knowing that there is no fear of us issuing any fatwas or launching any terrorist attacks. Muslims, on the other hand, must be treated with kid gloves and walked around on egg shells, lest they be the least bit offended and the fatwas begin to fly.
Liberal bias actually proves the professed beliefs of liberals bogus. The religion they portray as “peace loving,” they actually fear may commit a terrorist attack against them for factual reporting. On the other hand, they have no fear of terrorist attacks against them for falsely reporting that Christianity is a violent religion spawning public shootings. Which faith is it that liberals really believe is peace loving? It is not Islam, but Christianity, a fact proven by liberals own bias.
By the way, there was a pro-life Christian at the shooting in Colorado Springs. It wasn’t the shooter, however, but one of his victims. Garret Swasey, a pastor and policeman, was shot while attempting to save lives, not take them, at the Planned Parenthood facility. I just thought you should know, since the liberal media won’t be reporting it.
