I've been told that my spiritual gift is rubbing people the wrong way. A friend told me Wednesday that he was trying to stay out of trouble. I shared with him that I'd given up on that notion, since trouble seems to follow me everywhere I go and jump all over me at every turn. I really don't intend to make folks so mad, but speaking the truth in these truth-hating times has that inevitable effect upon people. Well, hold on to your hats, or should I say your tempers, here I go again.

I don't understand the short memories of so many people in the world today, especially Christians in today's church. Rick Warren's recent call for Christians to unite with Catholics comes as no surprise to me. After all, Rick called for Christians and Muslims to unite back in 2009, you can read about it here: http://bit.ly/1yvChcM. I've been getting spiritual saddlesores from Rick Warren's Saddleback for years. I even wrote an article about this back in 2008: http://bit.ly/1yvCVqM. Shortly afterward, I wrote another article on Rick's ecumenical prayer at President Obama's first Inauguration, a prayer prayed by Rick in the name of "another jesus." You can read this article here: http://bit.ly/1w5aNMi. In light of the fact that Rick has been proposing ecumenism for years, as well as skirting the fringes of the Christian camp with his teachings, why should any of us be surprised that he has finally proposed that we break camp to escape the heat of these politically correct times by joining the pope, or as Rick calls him, "the Holy Father," in the shade underneath the umbrella of Catholicism?

Nothing, let me repeat that, nothing has been more detrimental to the Christian faith in all of Christian history than the damnable heresy of Roman Catholicism. What is it that makes Catholicism most damnable and detrimental? It is the simple fact that unlike all other false religions and cults it is seen by the world as synonymous with Christianity. Therefore, the true church of Christ is condemned for the crimes of this apostate church and the false teachings of the Roman pontiff are mistaken for the truths of the Christian faith. To prove my point, ask yourself who is recognized by today's world as the leader of the Christian faith. The answer, of course, is the pope. This false Christ of a false church is viewed by the world not only as the head of Christ's church, but also as Christ's representative on earth. Although the altars of Catholicism are stained with the blood of innumerable Christian martyrs who fought for the faith once and for all delivered to the saints, today's Protestant leaders, like Rick Warren, suggest we put the Christian faith to bed with the whorish church of Rome. While this "Time Capsule" may make a lot of people mad, I personally find what is going on in the contemporary church to be positively maddening.
