HOUSTON, WE HAVE LIFTOFF!

I’ve been trying my best to warn everyone that the legalization of same-sex marriage is not what its proponents pretend it to be, a benign “live and let live” proposal. Instead, it is a dastardly proposition with the most malignant of consequences for our country and all true Christians within it. Not only is it the final nail in our country’s coffin, serving as a sure sign of our spiritual reprobation, but it will also result in the political gagging of all Gospel preaching by turning sin into a civil right and outlawing all spoken opposition against it. Unfortunately, few people have paid any attention to what I’ve been saying. In fact, most people have condemned me for being a judgmental and intolerant hatemonger, especially for writing and publishing the book, Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace: The Compelling Arguments Against Same-Sex Marriage.   

Well, yesterday we had “liftoff” for my predicted encroachment of religious freedom on Gospel preachers in America. The city of Houston issued subpoenas demanding pastors to turn over sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity, or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. The failure of pastors to do so could result in them being held in contempt of court. The intention of the subpoenas is twofold. First, it is a scouring of pastor’s sermons for evidence to indict them for violating Houston’s new non-discrimination ordinance, which, among other things, allows men to use the ladies room and vice versa. Second, it is an obvious attempt to intimidate pastors into silencing their opposition to the gay agenda in the city of Houston, Texas.

Although we now have “liftoff” in Houston, don’t fool yourself into believing that this thing is not going to blastoff all over America in the days ahead. In spite of the fact that I’ve been condemned for predicting the upcoming outlawing of the Gospel in America over the legalization of same-sex marriage, my prediction is manifesting itself before our very eyes.
