If you will read this to the end, you may be forced to rethink your beliefs about end-time Bible prophecy, especially America's place within it.
So many Americans today are fearful of an Islamic takeover of America. They fear that our country may one day be ruled by Sharia Law and a Muslim caliph. Incredibly, while Americans worry about an Islamic takeover of our homeland, the takeover of America is actually occurring right under our noses. It is not being perpetrated by sword wielding ISIS terrorists, but by a pen wielding American president.
You've undoubtedly heard the old adage: "The pen is mightier than the sword." Our president's pen is certainly proving to be, since he is using it to take over America and to reign over Americans. The pen has become a scepter in Barack Obama's hand.
A few months ago, President Obama took out his pen and unconstitutionally legalized millions of illegal immigrants by executive fiat. Prior to issuing his executive order, Mr. Obama honestly admitted that such an action would be unlawful and unconstitutional. In response to this usurping of dictatorial powers by an American president, millions of voters rushed to the polls to rein in this little pen wielding despot. They voted Republicans into office who promised voters that they would stop Obama's illegal amnesty program by pulling tight the congressional purse strings. Republicans vowed to voters that they would stave off Obama's coup d'état by refusing to fund it in upcoming budget legislation.
In November of last year, I predicted that the Republican landslide at the polls would soon prove to be just another Republican mudslide on America. I predicted that Mr. Obama would not only veto any Republican budget proposal that lacked funding for his illegal amnesty program, but would also politically blackmail Republican lawmakers into eventually caving to his coup d'état by holding the "gun" of a government shutdown to their heads. Republicans, I predicted, would, under both the president and press' condemnation for shutting down the government, renege on their promise to voters and throw in the towel against President Obama. Well, this past Tuesday, my prediction came true!
When will we wake up to the undeniable fact that the polling place has become impotent to solve our problems? Far from solving our problems, present-day politics only exacerbates them. Our country is on a death march to a dictatorship and both political parties are party to it and paving the way for it. Still, despite the fact that the Oval Office is being turned into a throne room and the final chapter is being written on American democracy with the presidential pen, Americans strain their necks with sweating brows to scan the horizon for any hint of an approaching Muslim caliph. However, according to the Bible, we should be watching for a Caesar, not a caliph.
The Bible predicts that a final Caesar will arise at the end of time to lead the world's final Gentile superpower in a global assault on Christ and on things Christian. There are no other viable candidates in the world today for the biblically predicted end-time Caesar (Beast) and Gentile superpower (Mystery Babylon the Great) than an American president and America. Although I've been preaching and teaching this for years, much to the chagrin of my fellow-Christians, it's been hard to see how such an apocalyptic scenario could ever come about in this country. Well, it's no longer hard to see; it's now materializing right before our very eyes. Unfortunately, my fellow-countrymen are blind to it and most of my fellow-Christians are in denial of it, which explains why they keep streaming to the polls and scanning the horizon for a coming caliph, while a resounding "Hail, Caesar" begins to reverberate throughout our land.
