That the press is in the hip pocket of present-day progressives is indisputable. It has long since ceased to be the watchdog of the American people and become the lapdog of liberal politicians. The fifth estate has become part of the estate of the realm, working in collusion with a corrupt government to coverup its crimes against its citizenry. Newspapers, like the Old Gray Lady, the New York Times, have prostituted themselves to progressives and become little more than newsletters for the Democratic Party. Of course, all of this explains why the only institution in America today more unpopular than congress is the press, which alone is seen by the American people as beneath the underbelly of their slimy and serpentine senators and legislators.
It is obvious to anyone with both of their oars still in the water that todays drive-by media is burying Hillary Clinton's political cant and actual crimes beneath a dug up and decade old tape on which her political opponent for the White House privately gloats over his ability to grope women. It is this tape the mainstream media is using as a stake to drive through the heart of Mrs. Clinton's political opponent and as a skewer to shish kebab our country. Still, we must admit, though few us are willing to, that the horrifying fact that the future of our country is now being determined by nothing more than a recorded eleven year old conversation on the back of a bus is really no one's fault but our own.
We are the ones who chose a two-faced criminal and a big-headed braggadocios groper of women to be our candidates for the White House. For Democrats, it ended up being all about the gender of the candidate, just as it had been all about Barack Obama's skin pigmentation in the last two presidential elections. For Republicans, they ended up preferring a celebrity over a statesman. This was especially true of prosperity preaching pentecostal evangelicals, who couldn't resist rushing to the polls to vote for a billionaire star of a popular reality TV show.
We are also the ones who keep opting for referendum rather than revolution, despite the fact that referendum in today's America is rigged by a monopolizing two-party political system and a manipulating press. We keep playing by the rules being imposed upon us by dictating politicians and an indoctrinating press. As a result, Americans are becoming an increasingly docile and dumbed down people. Onward we march in lockstep to the lies being told to us by corrupt politicians and conniving journalists.
All of the above should serve as proof positive to the spiritually discerning and scripturally astute that our country, like ancient and unrepentant Judah, has become so steeped in sin that it is now sick in the head (Isaiah 1:4-5). Honestly, what other explanation is there for the insanity in which our country is being submerged in this year's presidential election?
If you're one of my many detractors, who have been taking exception to my unremitting declaration that our country is toast, then, perhaps, this year's presidential election has you finally reaching for the marmalade. Doesn't the jam we're in prove we're toast? How can anyone possibly see a bright future from the darkening hole our God-forsaking country is sinking deeper and deeper into everyday?
Folks, it's time the church came to its spiritual senses, got out of the political pigpen, and returned to the Father's house to attend to the Father's business before it's too late to do so in America anymore! Like it or not, deep down in your heart, if you're a true child of God, you know it's so, in spite of how much you hate it. Truth, my friend, is never determined by its popularity; in fact, it is always most unpopular in this truth-hating, fallen world.
