LITTLE BIG HORN AND THE CHRISTIANS' LAST STAND > THE TOWER OF BABEL

America Is the End-Time Tower of Babel

In our first post in this important series of posts, I confidently stated what I’ve been convinced of by the Holy Scripture and convicted of by the Holy Spirit.

First, America is the iron and clay feet of Nebuchadnezzar’s nightmarish image, which we read about in Daniel chapter two. We are the end-time superpower that will be pulled apart by the polarization of its own populace prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Second, America is also the little horn of the fourth beast of Daniel chapter seven. America, like Daniel’s predicted little horn, emerged upon the world scene by uprooting three other powers, our colonizing powers—England, France, and Spain. Furthermore, America, as Daniel also predicted of the little horn, has not only proceeded from its conception to become the greatest power in the history of the world, but also our end-time world’s great superpower, a superpower that is guilty of greatly blaspheming God by its great boasts about itself.

Third, America is not only the book of Revelation’s “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH, but is also morphing, right before our very eyes, into the first beast of Revelation chapter thirteen. Granted, this is a lot to digest, especially in light of the fact that it is unpalatable to the vast majority of professed Christians, who find such extraordinary doctrine both inedible and impossible to swallow. For this reason, I’ve decided, in this series of posts, to spoon-feed it to the spiritually queasy who find it hard to stomach.

Now, before launching out into the deep waters of Bible prophecy to prove my Scriptural conclusions and spiritual convictions, let me say that I welcome any Scriptural refutation of my firmly held contentions. I will not only publicly thank anyone who can shoot them full of holes with the Scripture, but I’ll also publicly confess any error and seek the public’s forgiveness for having propagated it. However, you must come armed with Scripture, not personal opinion, neither yours nor someone else’s, if you hope to gain my ear. Although many a dissenter has taken me to task for my teaching over the years, not a single solitary one has ever made the slightest dent in my beliefs with his or her Bible. While I’ve been scurrilously vilified, my beliefs have remained Scripturally verified.

I’ve elected to begin my deciphering of the difficult dividing of America as both the woman who rides the beast and the beast that she rides by distinguishing current America from both yesterday’s and tomorrow’s America (Revelation 17:3). The woman who rides the beast is identified in Revelation as “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:5). To understand the diabolical moniker displayed on her forehead we need to trace all that the Bible teaches about Babylon, beginning in Genesis and going all the way through to Revelation.

The trailhead for tracing Babylon through the Scripture is actually found in the shade beneath the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was here that man joined league with Lucifer in usurping God’s place and substituting himself for God. This is the sin that got Lucifer thrown out of heaven and resulted in the fall of angels. It is also the sin that got Adam and Eve thrown out of the Garden of Eden and resulted in the fall of man. Under the dark shade of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Adam and Eve usurped the place of God in their lives, by replacing God with themselves as the final arbiter of good and evil. In other words, they decided not to live by God’s Word, as God had created them to live, but to live by their wits, independent of God and indifferent to His Word.

Now, this sin of fallen angels and fallen men was incorporated into a corporate crime when the whole world came together to erect the Tower of Babel in the land of Shinar (Genesis 11:1-9). Babel was fallen man’s first attempt, in affiliation and association with fallen angels, to form a one world government. Mankind’s towering and diabolical aspirations at Babel were threefold. First, he aspired to create his own heaven on earth, by forming a one world government. Second, he aspired to make his own way into heaven, by inventing his own religion. And third, he aspired to do it all, independent of God and in defiance of God, so that he could glorify himself rather than God.

The diabolical aspirations of Babel’s ancient tower builders have lived in the hearts of fallen men ever since, which explains fallen man’s perpetual and demonic obsession with forming a one world government and forging and fostering a profusion of false religions. It all boils down to fallen man’s satanically inspired enmity against God and insatiable desire to make a name for himself. Fallen men, just like fallen angels, seek to prove their own deity and that God is dispensable by devising for themselves, in defiance of God, a paradisiacal planet. If they can pull it off, then, the fallen have won, God has fallen, and the defiers of God have been proven divine.

As the Bible teaches, beginning with the Tower of Babel and going all the way through to the book of Revelation, fallen men and fallen angels have no hope of ever creating their own heaven on earth. Instead, as thirty-five hundred years of recorded human history proves, no matter how much or how hard they try, their joint efforts always result in the opposite, hell on earth rather than heaven on earth. It’s simply impossible for the no-good to produce good apart from God, who alone is good and apart from whom no good is possible (Mark 10:18).

What we’re witnessing in today’s America, our world’s end-time Babel, is another futile attempt by fallen men, in league with fallen angels, to build a modern-day Tower of Babel. Unfortunately, this final and consummate effort to create heaven on earth, by our end-time world’s antichrist superpower, will result, as the Bible predicts, in the greatest hell on earth this fallen world has ever known.
