Jesus Christ came the first time to establish a spiritual kingdom for His church (John 18:36). Christ’s spiritual kingdom has come (Luke 11:20). It is found today within the church. Christ is ruling and reigning today in the hearts of believers (Luke 17:20-21).

Jesus Christ is coming a second time to establish an earthly kingdom for Israel (Acts 1:6-7). Christ’s earthly kingdom has not yet come (Matthew 6:10). It will come when Christ returns to rule and reign upon the earth with His church for a thousand years (Revelation 5:10; 20:1-6).

It may be said that the Kingdom of God has come, is here and is coming. It came or commenced with the King’s first coming (Matthew 3:2; 4:17). It is here or continuing today in the hearts of believers (Luke 17:20-21). And it will come or be consummated when the King returns in all of His glory (Matthew 25:31-32).
