Our last few posts should not be misunderstood by you as an attempt by me to cast aspersions on the King James Version of the Bible. I really believe that it is as good a translation of the Bible as there has ever been. What I have intended to show, however, is the preposterousness of the proposition that the King James translation of the Bible was divinely inspired like the original penning of the sacred Scriptures. This claim, made by some “King James Only” proponents, flies in the face of historical facts. Anyone claiming divine inspiration for a particular translation of the Bible simply doesn’t have an historical leg to stand on.
