With today’s post we will begin to discuss the King James Only controversy. The issue of translations is a complicated one. It is made even more so by all the misinformation being spread today about modern-day translations. As I’ve already stated, I personally prefer the King James Version of the Bible. However, I am not a “King James Only” proponent, one who believes it is the only reliable translation of the Bible for today’s Christians to read and study. This is not to say, however, that I have no problem with some, not all, modern-day translations. I do have problems with some and will explain why in later posts.
