Liberals' Concept of Justice
5 Jul 2007

An editorial in today’s New York Times tells you all you need to know about liberals’ concept of justice. Whereas the editorial praises the Supreme Court of the 1960s, presided over by Chief Justice Earl Warren, for its decisions in favor of “the powerless–racial and religious minorities, consumers, students and criminal defendants,” it condemns the current Supreme Court, presided over by Chief Justice John Roberts, for favoring “corporations and powerful interests while slamming the courthouse door on individuals and ideas that truly need the court’s shelter.”

I thought justice was supposed to be blind. I thought cases were supposed to be decided on the basis of law. I thought the Fourteeth Amendment guaranteed equal protection under the law. I didn’t know that our Supreme Court Justices were always suppose to favor the “have-nots” over “the haves,” even when the “have-nots” rather than the “haves” are in violation of the law. And I sure didn’t know that one person’s “ideas” were to be favored over another person’s in court.

If liberals are right in their idea of justice, then we could save a lot of money by firing all judges and courthouse employees and hiring a few accountants. After all, liberals believe that legal cases should be decided on the basis of which party has the smaller bankroll. The poorer should always win and the richer should always lose, at least that’s the way liberals believe justice should work.

Liberals don’t want justice, they never have. Instead, they want social engineering. They want their socialist’s ideas forced down our throats with a judge’s gavel. This is why nothing ruffles their feathers more than the nomination and confirmation of conservative judges. Knowing that they can never turn America into a socialist utopia through the ballot box, liberals have turned to the courts to implement by force their socialist agenda.

Liberals, seeing the courts as their last bastion, will unhesitatingly fight to the death to retain control of America’s judiciary. If they ever lose the courts, they will have lost their most forminable coconspirator in their attempted coup to takeover America.

Well, at least now you know the real reason behind today’s New York Times’ editoral. It has nothing to do with fighting for the downtrodden, but everything to do with trotting underfoot you and me and anyone else who disagrees with their socialist ideas.
