Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Visits Columbia University
27 Sep 2007

Yesterday, General Peter Pace, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, caused quite a stir at a Senate hearing by stating his belief that homosexuality is immoral. Speaking of gays wishing to enlist in the military, the General said that they should be respected for wanting to serve their country, but that the country should not condone homosexuality “through the law of the land,” since homosexuality “is counter to God’s law.”

I remember a day in America when the only stir on Capital Hill would have been caused by someone disagreeing with the General’s views. We all know, however, that that day is long gone in these United States. Today, as the Bible both forewarns and foretells, evil is called good and good is called evil (Isaiah 5:20). Whereas those guilty of abominable sins (Leviticus 18:22) are adored, those who condemn such practices are abhorred. This explains how today’s America can condone something as wrong as the Gay and Lesbian Rights Movement while condemning something as wholesome as the Boy Scouts of America.

General Pace will never be invited to speak at New York’s prestigious ColumbiaUniversity. Columbia has not only banned ROTC, but also military recruiting from its campus. In addition, it has effectively outlawed from its “hallowed halls” any opposition to today’s radical gay agenda. Yet, despite the fact that the chairman of our nation’s Joint Chiefs of Staff would be unwelcome at Columbia, Columbia rolled out the red carpet this week to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad—Iran’s nutty president who is currently on a mad dash to acquire nuclear weapons to launch against Israel in hopes of instigating War World III and ushering in a Muslim paradise reigned over by the Shia Muslims’ long awaited 12th Inman.

When Mahmoud “I’m A Nut Job” complained that his country’s right to acquire nukes was being denied by “monopolistic” and “selfish powers” like America, the audience at Columbia broke out in applause. When he refused to answer if he was serious or just joking around when he previously threatened to wipe Israel off of the map, he was applauded again. And when he accused the United States of being the real supporter of terrorism in today’s world, the audience’s thunderous applause almost brought the house down.

In spite of all of the applause, there was one point during Mahmoud’s visit to Columbia when he was booed and came dangerously close to receiving New York’s famous Bronx cheer. What dastardly deed was done or despicable declaration declared that caused Columbia’s fawning students and faculty to turn on poor ole Mahmoud? It was simply the Iranian president’s refusal to sanction the sin of sodomy. Apparently, Columbia’s faculty and student body doesn’t care if you are seeking nuclear weapons, threatening the destruction of Israel, denying the Holocaust, or presiding over the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism, just as long as you’re willing to give homosexuality a big thumbs up.

According to Mahmoud, they “don’t have homosexuals” in Iran like we do in America. Of course they don’t; in Iran homosexuals are executed rather than extolled. Is there any wonder that gays and lesbians are as scarce as chickens’ teeth in Iran, where homosexuality is considered a capital offense? I’ll tell you something else that they don’t have in Iran, treasonous universities like Columbia, but I guess those geniuses at Columbia haven’t figured that out yet, otherwise they wouldn’t be welcoming and applauding the likes of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
